Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm, together with Kouga Wind Farm and Tsitsikamma Wind Farms, in the Eastern Cape, have put their support behind the PinkDrive Breast Cancer mobile unit, as part of breast cancer awareness month.  This mobile unit will visit the region between 16 and 20 October 2017, focusing on educational and cancer diagnostics services for both women and men in the communities of Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp, Sea Vista, Clarkson and Kareedouw.

Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm has invited members within its community network to take the opportunity to make use of these services offered. Services include breast cancer screening and examinations; mammograms; Pap smears; PSA screening for prostate and testicular cancer for men; HIV screening amongst other general health messaging.

By supporting PinkDrive a platform is created for members of the various communities to be empowered with vital health messaging. Noelene Kotschan, CEO and Founder of PinkDrive says that their organisation is privileged to be providing their services to these communities. “As October marks world breast cancer awareness month, I cannot think of a better way to serve than through this outreach and our cancer screening. We know that there is a need for our services in this province and we are looking forward to bringing our message of ’Early Detection’ to these communities” says Noelene. She sincerely thanks the three wind farms for affording PinkDrive the opportunity to work in their communities.
